RESOLUTIONS: PLAYS FOR A NEW YEAR

 

The champagne’s flowing and party hats are on, but when the countdown’s over have we really changed at all?

 

In January 2015 we presented three new plays from 3 very talented emerging playwrights exploring loneliness, compassion, and the courage it takes to start over in the new year.

 

NUMB by Gemma Langford: Roz and Charlie have been boozing it up at their local pub. But when Roz brings Charlie back to her place for a night of passion, she learns everything is not quite as it seems. Cast: Emma Fisher and James Naylor.

 

HERMAN by Pericles Snowdon: After a brutal dumping our hero, Herman, vows to await his (ex-)lady love at their favourite cafe on Charlotte Street. Every single day. For as long as it takes. Six months later, on New Year's Eve, and something finally happens. . . Cast: Liam Bewely, Eleanor Cope, Simon Rhodes, and Rayyah McCaul.

 

TEA SET by Gina Moxley: a devastating one-woman show about the lasting connection between a young carer and her elderly charge on New Year’s Eve 1999. Cast: Amy Molloy.
