Against the Law by Tina Jay
Britain, 1954. Peter Wildeblood’s trial and conviction for homosexuality is the scandal of the decade and lands Wildeblood in prison for 18 months. What happens next set off a chain of events that changes Britain’s cultural landscape forever.
First imagined as a short play for our Love, Hate, and Human Rights festival in 2013, Against the Law is currently being developed into a full-length play focussing on unearthing the life of the little-known human rights campaigner who selflessly changed Britain with his compassion and bravery.
We will be having a development period in autumn 2017. For more information on this project, please join our mailing list.
